How Flat-Rate Heavy Pricing Works
Most companies handle construction debris removal for heavy material the same way: they haul your load to the dump station, weigh it on the scale, and bill you per ton after the fact. You don't know the real price until the invoice lands. A 10-yard box packed with concrete can weigh several tons, so the number on the quote and the number on your card rarely match.
Our Heavy 10-yard works differently. It's a flat rate with no weight limit. Fill it to the rim with clean concrete or dirt and the price doesn't move. For base clean-concrete and clean-soil loads, the price moves only with how far ahead you book — premium subtypes add a flat $150 — and we show you all three tiers up front.
Book 7 or more days ahead and you pay $599. Book 2 to 6 days out and it's $629. Need it today? Same-day delivery is $750. Choose the flexible "Anytime" delivery window at checkout and take $15 off. That's the whole pricing model — no fuel surcharges, no scale-ticket math.
What Goes in the Heavy Box: Flat-Rate Materials vs +$150 Premium Loads
The Heavy 10-yard accepts five load types. Two ride at the base flat rate, and three carry a flat +$150 premium because they cost more to recycle — so premium loads run $749, $779, or $900 depending on the same lead-time tiers. Either way, you pick your material at booking and the price is locked before you pay.
Base flat rate: clean soil (pure dirt only — 95% pure, no rocks, grass, gravel, mesh, wood, or garbage) and clean concrete (concrete only — 95% pure, no rebar, mesh, wood, or garbage).
+$150 premium: a clean soil, concrete and brick mix (95% pure, no rocks, grass, gravel, mesh, wood, rebar, or garbage), bricks only (95% pure, no mortar debris, dirt, or garbage), and clean asphalt (asphalt only — 95% pure, no dirt, concrete, rebar, gravel, wood, trash, or fabric).
One clarification that saves people money: general construction debris — roofing shingles, demo lumber, drywall — is not heavy material. That goes in a standard 10, 20, or 30-yard construction dumpster rental. The Heavy box is strictly for clean soil, concrete, brick, asphalt, and the clean mix.

Why Heavy Debris Needs Its Own Dedicated 10-Yard Box
expand_more
Why can't you just throw concrete in a 30-yard? Physics. A 20 or 30-yard dumpster filled with concrete or dirt weighs more than the roll-off truck can legally and safely lift. That's why heavy material only ships in one container: a dedicated 10 yard dumpster built for dense loads.
There's also the overweight math. Our standard boxes include a weight allowance — 1 ton on the 10-yard, 2 tons on the 20, 3 tons on the 30 — and anything over that is billed at $155 per ton straight from the dump-station scale ticket. Concrete blows through those allowances almost immediately. The Heavy box removes that exposure entirely: no allowance, no overage, no ticket.
What "Clean" Means: The 95% Rule That Protects Your Flat Rate
expand_more
The flat rate works because clean concrete, dirt, brick, and asphalt get recycled, not landfilled. Recyclers crush concrete into road base and screen soil for fill — but only if the load is at least 95% pure. That's the deal behind the price.
Clean means no wood, no trash, no rebar, no wire mesh, no green waste mixed in. Each subtype has its own notes (clean asphalt, for example, can't include dirt, concrete, or gravel), and we show them on the booking screen before you pay.
A contaminated load can't be recycled, so it gets rejected at the facility or re-billed as general debris — which puts you right back into the per-ton pricing you were avoiding. If your project produces both trash and concrete, that's two separate loads: a standard dumpster for the debris and a Heavy box for the concrete. Never one. Booking both online takes a couple of minutes, and it's still cheaper than one rejected load.
The 3-Day Rental Window, Delivery, and Driveway Protection
expand_more
Heavy rentals include 3 days instead of the standard 7. Dense material fills a 10-yard fast — most concrete and dirt loads are done in a day or two — and shorter turns keep the flat rate where it is. If the job runs long, extra days are $50 per day with provider approval, requested right from your dashboard.
Delivery is quick when you need it to be. Book before 1 PM Pacific and we offer same-day delivery with a 4-hour delivery promise. Booking ahead is cheaper, but the option is there when a demo crew shows up early.
Placement: the dumpster goes on your driveway, not the street. A driveway is private property, so no city permission is needed there. If the box must sit on a public street, your city requires an encroachment permit that you obtain and pay for before delivery.
Protect the surface before the truck arrives. Lay plywood sheets or 2x boards where the rails will sit to spread the load, and keep the path clear for the roll-off truck. If you ever have a concern about your driveway after pickup, flag it in the support chat and we'll review it with you.

Built for Demolition and Hardscape Jobs
expand_more
The Heavy box exists for the jobs where the dumpster rental cost usually spirals: demolition and hardscape. Patio and driveway tear-outs, slab and foundation demo, and pool removals book clean concrete at the base flat rate. Grading, trenching, and excavation spoils book clean soil — pure dirt only, no sod or rocks mixed in.
Retaining wall demos and paver tear-outs usually book bricks only, or the soil-concrete-brick clean mix when the wall comes out with footing and backfill attached. Parking pad and driveway asphalt removal books clean asphalt. All three are +$150 premium loads, still flat, still no weight limit.
We deliver across seven Contra Costa County cities: Antioch, Concord, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Pleasant Hill, Danville, and Martinez. Contractors running hardscape crews here book the Heavy box on repeat because the quote they give the homeowner never gets blown up by a scale ticket.
