Why contractors are done with phone-first dumpster rentals

Most dumpster companies still run on phone calls. That works fine for them — not for you. Every call is ten minutes you're not framing, demoing, or driving to the next site. Every verbal quote is a number you can't prove later. Every "we'll get you on the schedule" is a delivery you can't verify until a truck shows up — or doesn't.

We built BookingDumpsters around the opposite model. Waiting on hold becomes booking online whenever you have two minutes, even at 9 PM after the crew goes home. Verbal quotes and surprise fees become prices printed on the page before checkout, with the overweight rate and cancellation policy disclosed upfront. No paper trail becomes SMS and email records of every confirmation, delivery, and pickup — so when a GC or homeowner asks when the box landed, you have the timestamp.

Need a human? Use the "Need help choosing?" chat on any page, the support chat in your dashboard, or email support@bookingdumpsters.com. Everything stays in writing, where it's useful.

Transparent pricing that rewards planning ahead

expand_more

Our pricing is tiered by lead time, and we publish the whole table. Book 7 or more days ahead and you get the floor price. Book 2–6 days out and it costs a little more. Same-day is the premium tier — you're paying for a 4-hour delivery.

10-yard: $599 booked 7+ days ahead, $629 at 2–6 days, $750 same-day. 20-yard: $749 / $779 / $920. 30-yard: $799 / $829 / $980. Every price covers a 7-day rental and delivery, and it's flat across our entire service area — no zone surcharges. Picking the "Anytime" delivery window instead of a morning or afternoon slot knocks $15 off.

Weight is just as transparent. The 10-yard includes 1 ton, the 20-yard 2 tons, the 30-yard 3 tons. Go over and you pay $155 per ton, calculated straight from the dump-station scale ticket — the number on the ticket is the number you're billed. No mystery math, no padded "disposal adjustment" line items.

Every size your jobs need, plus a flat-rate Heavy box

expand_more

The 10-yard (from $599, 1 ton) is right for small demos, single-room tear-outs, and tight driveways. (Concrete, dirt, brick, or asphalt? That's the Heavy box below — not this one.) The 20-yard (from $749, 2 tons) is the workhorse: it's our recommended size for roofing tear-offs and the most versatile box for kitchen remodels and general construction debris. The 30-yard (from $799, 3 tons) is the step up for whole-home remodels, big C&D loads, and multi-trade jobs.

For heavy material — clean concrete, dirt, brick, or asphalt — skip the regular boxes entirely. Our Heavy 10-yard box is a flat rate from $599 with no weight limit. Fill it with concrete to the line and the price doesn't move. It runs on a 3-day rental instead of 7, because heavy boxes turn around fast. Clean soil and clean concrete book at the base rate; the soil-concrete-brick mix, bricks-only, and asphalt subtypes carry a +$150 surcharge because blended loads cost more to dispose. All heavy loads must be 95% pure.

Repeat orders built for multi-site contractors

expand_more

If you're running three remodels in three cities, you shouldn't have to re-explain your order three times. Your BookingDumpsters dashboard has two shortcuts built for exactly this: "Book new dumpster" pre-fills your last order's address, size, and material for a repeat box at the same job, and "Book one at a different address" keeps your size and material — you just type the new address. Same 20-yard, same material profile, new site, done in under a minute.

Schedule slips? Handle it yourself. Rescheduling is free online any time before dispatch — no chat thread required, no asking permission. If a job dies entirely, cancel from the dashboard: $25 if you're 24 or more hours out from delivery, $195 inside 24 hours. Both numbers are disclosed before you ever pay, which is more than the phone-first guys will put in writing.

Everything on the record — proof of service for every drop

expand_more

Disputes get settled by paperwork, not memory. Every BookingDumpsters order generates SMS and email updates at each stage — confirmation, delivery, and pickup — so you always have a timestamped record of when the box arrived and when it left the site. Pair that with your Stripe receipt and your dashboard history, and you can hand a client or GC a clean trail for every container on the job.

Support works the same way: in writing, in the platform. The "Need help choosing?" chat sits on every page for pre-booking questions, your customer dashboard has a support chat for active rentals, and support@bookingdumpsters.com covers everything else. You'll never be told to call a number and hope someone picks up — and you'll never lose an answer that was only ever spoken.

When the job can't wait: same-day delivery in 4 hours

expand_more

Demo finished early, or the box you ordered from someone else never showed? Book before 1 PM Pacific and we deliver same-day within 4 hours. It's the premium tier ($750/$920/$980 for 10/20/30-yard), but it keeps a crew working instead of standing around — and when you can plan ahead, booking 7+ days out always gets you the lowest price.

Standard rentals include 7 days on site (3 days for the Heavy box). If the job runs long, extra days are $50/day with provider approval — request them before pickup and keep working.

We currently serve seven Contra Costa County cities: Antioch, Concord, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Pleasant Hill, Danville, and Martinez. Each city page covers local placement rules and permits if your container needs to sit in the public right-of-way.

expand_more

No account hoops, no callback queue, no "a rep will reach out." Enter your job-site ZIP, pick a size and material, and the exact price appears — including the lead-time tier you're in and what you'd save by booking further out. Like the number? Check out with Stripe in about 2 minutes and get confirmation by SMS and email.

And because transparency should cut both ways: our cancellation policy is $25 with 24+ hours' notice and $195 inside 24 hours, rescheduling is free before dispatch, and overweight runs exactly $155/ton off the scale ticket. You know every number before you spend a dollar. That's the whole point.

FAQ

How much does a contractor dumpster rental cost in Contra Costa County?expand_more
When you book 7+ days ahead: $599 for a 10-yard, $749 for a 20-yard, $799 for a 30-yard. Booking 2–6 days out runs $629/$779/$829, and same-day delivery is $750/$920/$980. Every price includes a 7-day rental and delivery, with flat pricing across our whole service area — you see the exact total before checkout.
What size dumpster do I need for construction debris?expand_more
Most C&D loads — drywall, lumber, fixtures, framing — go in the 10, 20, or 30-yard under General Debris. The 20-yard is the sweet spot for most roofing tear-offs — shingles are heavy, so weight, not volume, is usually the constraint, and large roofs may need a second box. The 30-yard is the step up for whole-home remodels and bulky mixed loads.
Can I put concrete, dirt, brick, or asphalt in a regular dumpster?expand_more
No — heavy materials only go in our Heavy 10-yard box. It's a flat rate from $599 with no weight limit on a 3-day rental, so a full load of concrete costs the same as a half load. Clean soil and clean concrete book at the base price; the soil-concrete-brick mix, bricks-only, and asphalt subtypes add $150, and all loads must be 95% pure.
How fast can you get a dumpster to my job site?expand_more
Book before 1 PM Pacific and we deliver same-day within 4 hours to any of our seven Contra Costa cities. Same-day is the premium pricing tier, so when the schedule allows, booking 7+ days ahead gets you the lowest rate.
How long do I keep the dumpster, and what if the job runs long?expand_more
Standard sizes include 7 days on site; the Heavy box includes 3. If the job runs long, extra days are $50/day with provider approval — request them from your dashboard before pickup and keep working.
What happens if my load goes over the weight limit?expand_more
Each size includes an allowance: 1 ton on the 10-yard, 2 tons on the 20-yard, 3 tons on the 30-yard. Overweight is billed at $155 per ton, calculated directly from the dump-station scale ticket — the number on the ticket is the number you pay, nothing padded. If you know the load will be heavy, the Heavy 10-yard box has no weight limit at all.
Can I reorder the same dumpster for a different job site?expand_more
Yes. Your dashboard has a "Book one at a different address" shortcut that keeps your size and material — just enter the new address and confirm. For repeat boxes at the same job, "Book new dumpster" pre-fills your last order's address, size, and material in one tap.
Do I need a permit to put a dumpster at the job site?expand_more
Not if the container sits entirely on private property — a driveway, lot, or staging area. If it has to sit on a public street, the city requires an encroachment permit, which you obtain and pay for. Check our city pages for local rules in Antioch, Concord, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Pleasant Hill, Danville, and Martinez.
