Disposal Guidelines

What you can put in your dumpster, what carries an extra disposal fee, and what we can't accept. When in doubt, ask us before you load it.

1. Accepted at no extra charge

Most everyday debris goes in with no surprise fees: household junk and cleanouts, furniture, construction & renovation debris (drywall, lumber, fixtures), roofing, and yard/green waste. For the 10-yard Heavy box, clean heavy material (soil, concrete, brick, asphalt) is accepted with no weight limit as long as the load is approximately 95% pure.

2. Items that may require an extra disposal fee

These items are accepted, but each one carries an additional disposal fee because the dump charges us to handle them separately. The fee is applied by your provider only if the items are in the load:

ItemDisposal fee
Tires$30 each
Mattresses$40 each
Appliances with refrigerant$50 each
Large furniture$25 each
Electronics$25 each
Car batteries$15 each
Other bulky / special-disposal itemsVaries

Prices are per item. If you’re not sure whether something counts, text us at (510) 591-4302 before loading.

3. Items we cannot accept

For safety and by regulation, these can never go in a dumpster. They must be taken to a proper disposal facility:

  • Hazardous waste
  • Asbestos
  • Paint, oils & chemicals
  • Propane tanks
  • Flammable, toxic, or regulated materials
  • Other dangerous materials
